Another night bus. This time from Goa to Mumbai. I’m joining my Swiss friends and meeting more Swiss people here. will be there for a couple of days before heading up north. I will probably go to Varanasi first. More yoga, more temples!
This sugarcane juice is amazing, they add ginger and lime:
During our Ayurveda classes from our beloved teacher Gaurav, we learned that Kapha & Pitta people (I explained about the Dosha’s here) should fast one day a week. During this day you can drink water with curd; add 200 grams of water to curd, let it sit and only drink the water on top, not the white on the bottom. Drink during the entire day, you can add more water to it once the water part is finished and repeat with another 200 grams of curd. This cleanses your system and detoxes, it is also very good for your skin, helps digest food and it is great if you drank too much alcohol the night before to replace the lactic acid in your body.
Recipe to make curd, since it’s not readily available where you might be:
Bring 1 liter of whole milk to a boil
Let it sit 5-10 minutes (preferably in a clay pot)
Stir in 1 teaspoon of yoghurt
Let it sit overnight
Place in the refrigerator in the morning
Today is my first day of fasting with this curd/water recipe. Yesterday I drank the water during the day while eating, it tastes pretty good and I felt great.
